Meerwind Ost
Kersten Europe delivers external maintenance platforms for Meerwind Ost.
The offshore wind farm Meerwind Ost is a 40 turbines, 144MW project. Meerwind Ost is located in the North Sea, approx. 53 km from the shore. It is connected to the HelWin Alpha High Voltage Station.
Meerwind Ost is one of the first commercial offshore wind farm projects in operation in Germany. Constructions started in September 2012. It is expected to be in full operation by the end of 2013.
Kersten Europe Renewable Energy
The project involves the bending of the external maintenance platforms.Kersten Europe provides the main supports, a bent and 3D cut large rectangular hollow section 300x200mm.
Using the latest CNC profile bending machines Kersten Europe bends large hollow sections up to 500x500mm. After bending, the sections are cut to size including welding preparations using advanced 3D contour cutting with robot technology.
