Metro station Amsterdam North

A new metro line will transport passengers from Amsterdam North to Amsterdam South. The Noord-Zuidlijn (line 52) has a total length of 9,7 km. In 2017 the metro line shall be finished.

Until March 2012, Station Amsterdam North was called Station Buikslotermeerplein.

The brand new overground station hall is designed by Benthem Crouwel Architects. The station has two exits and an island platform. The roof is made out of a bent construction of steel and glass.

Underneath the overground metro station a bus station will be built. Daily, over 22.500 travellers are expected to use the station. - Buikslotermeerplein/Toekomstige situatie


Kersten Europe

Kersten Europe has been awarded the bent profiles on behalf of the roof construction. 468 HEAA 100 profiles have been bent over the strong axis.
