offshore bellmouth

Bell mouths consist of multiple cones of various diameters. Our engineers work this out in a clear drawing. Due to a clever layout of the sheet material multiple parts can be cut from a plate. This limits material wastage. The cutting is done on our cutting machines. During the process the cone patterns are immediately provided with bevels.

The cone patterns are rolled, welded on the longitudinal seam and rolled again. The potential excess length is removed using a robot. Then the various conical sections are welded together at the circular seam.  For a complete J-tube construction that is ready to be built in, we weld a guiding ring to the end of the bell mouth and the bell mouth is mounted to the J-tube.
