Kersten Europe invests in two “state of the art” bending machines; 2400T Power Press and R15S.

Kersten Europe aims to respond as effectively as possible to demands from the market. For this reason, Kersten Europe recently invested in two brand new machines in order to be able to bend even larger and thicker plates.

 

We are proud to present them to you here. The 2400T Power Press and the R15S.

 

2400T Power Press
For the bending of cylinders and cones up to 150mm thick and 3,300 mm wide.

Particularly from the Offshore and Renewable Energy sectors, demand has grown for more capacity for bending thick-walled steel plate. The purchase of the 2400T Power Press allows us to bend cylinders and cones with a thickness of no less than 150mm and a width of 3,300 mm.
Various parts of this machine were developed especially for Kersten Europe. This applies to the hydraulic unit, the components, the cylinders and the required bending and hoisting tools

 

The 2400T Power Press is an imposing machine with enormous power, without losing precision and speed. With a force of 2,400 tonnes, the stamp of the machine presses on the steel plate. With a certain smoothness and ease, a large, thick steel plate is bent into a thick-walled cone or cylinder.

R15S
Europe’s most powerful profile bending machine.

 

In order to meet the demand for increasingly large bent profiles, Kersten Europe has invested in the R15S. This is the largest profile bending machine of Europe with a maximum capacity of cold profile bending of 800 mm over the strong side and 1,000 mm over the weak side.

 

The arrival of the R15S is a welcome addition to the extensive machine park of Kersten Europe. A long time before the installation of the machine, various orders had already been taken for it. This means we have been able to test it extensively. Including for the bending of HEA800 over the X-axis, tube Ø508x40mm and even tube Ø610 x 20mm.
